First Game

Personally I was disappointed in Jenas' performance. He seemed disinterested and really didn't put as much effort into the game as I would of liked. This was in direct contrast to Davids. Although he does give the ball away too much, he really wears his heart on his sleeve. He impressed today, along with the new signings.

Lennon seemed to get taken out of the game. He had one nice move that almost resulted in a shot on goal, but a fantastic sliding tackle denied him even that. There was a noticeable improvement when he moved to the left side of the field; perhaps a more roaming role for the England player would be more effective, as he'd be harder to mark out of the game.

Overall it wasn't the best game to start the season with, however, Bolton away has been a notorious hard fixture for us in recent years. Hopefully on Tuesday we can improve and win our first game down at the lane.
